History
Sutherland Bluffs
Sutherland Marine, as a testament to the rich connections this business has to the community, was          named after the long forgotten bluffs which used to exist in Ozona.  Ozona was once known as            Sutherland Bluffs, and the Sutherland Marine is proud to carry on the Sutherland name to the future.

The OMC Dark Ages
Sutherland Marine became an incorporated marine repair business during the OMC lead era for             Johnson and Evinrude engines.  The current location of the business began in 1991 on Dempsey Rd,   after two years of dedicated work by the entrepreneurial owner/Master Technician across the street.  As Sutherland Marine grew in terms of customer patronage, so did the reputation for honesty and good work. Sutherland Marine was able to survive and thrive with this reputation, even in the face of the OMC bankruptcy.

The E-Tec Revolution
After Bombardier purchased Evinrude and Johnson Outboards brands, the Ficht-Ram Direct Fuel         Injection technology was replaced by E-TEC direct fuel injection, improving fuel efficiency and         reducing emissions, oil usage, noise levels, and maintenance needs. Evinrude E-TEC was the first outboard engine technology to win the EPA 2005 Clean Air Excellence Award which recognizes low emission levels.

Current and Future
The future holds bright promise for Sutherland Marine, with a stable corporation backing and                 excellent leadership, this marine repair facility can only flourish.  Based on the principles of honesty,     hardwork, and perserverance, Sutherland Marine will continue to be a pillar on which the Northern Pinellas boating community is built.
